Ruger Mark III 22/45 Grips Original

Hello everyone, I want to buy a Ruger 22/45 SS Mark III but I would like to replace the grips with original Factory Ruger Cocobolo grips. Does anyone have any idea where I can get some. I looked at the Ruger website but they do not offer them. Please let me know.

I think the grips on the 22/45 are integrated to the frame. Do they even come off? I went to buy this pistol about a week ago, and ended up going with the standard MKIII Hunter with the cocobolo grips. I was expecting the 22/45 to have the same thickness in the grip as a standard 1911, but it doesn't seem to. Personally, I didn't care for the feel and liked the standard MK better. I did like the Browning Buckmark too.

That is a good question RockoStrongo...I am now wondering if the original grips are integrated into the fram. I think I will go to my local gunshop and see one first hand to assess if in fact the grips are integrated.

They now sell a version with removable grips, same as 1911 I believe. I bought my 22/45 about a month ago before I realized the new version came out It is certainly possible to put 1911 grips on a standard 22/45, it's a pretty common mod, I'm debating doing it...

He is looking for the grips for the 45 frame version... these look like they would work if you find that newer version with removable grips.
