Had mine, Instructors about 3 yrs - still holds well, but the velcro has bald spots and tends to let the end flap around. (Wonder if Wilderness sews a new one in if requested) Also, a few broken threads on it, but they are excellent belts and I've ordered another with insert. I have a great sharkskin belt I use for lighter guns, but the heavier are much easier to carry with the micro-adjustments possible with the Wilderness.

I started with a black leather belt from thebeltman.net. Great belt, but weird to wear with shorts. So ordered an Instructor CSM 1.5" in tan, and like the adjustability so much I've ordered a second one in black.

Wilderness will re-velcro your belt for a nominal fee.

I got the wilderness instructor. it was $42 delivered it was the 5 stitch version it works great and is the only belt I need..I have no real need for a leather belt so I went wilderness..I was thinking Wilderness..or Aker B21...and I said to myself..is there really any reason I NEED a leather VS nylon belt..could not come up with a single reason so I got the Wilderness.

    Thumbs up Love it

I am wearing an Original Instructor's Belt right now. I wear it every day. Fits better than a leather belt because I never land between 2 holes. I lost 22 pounds and it still has plenty of adjustment. When not carrying and using a urinal the belt can be attached after undoing so there is no chance of the belt tail end hitting the urinal.

Good advice everybody. I just got mine and LOVE it. Now I need the black one, as I have the tan. I'd also like to try the lighter weight model.

The ultra adjustability is really neat. It seems to work for me on all sorts of different heights of waistbands. It has a classic fashion look too, I find nothing objectionable about the styling (other than it says gun to some people).

how thick are the CSM models? kinda concerned that my holster clips won't be wide enough.

or maybe I should ask, anyone own the CSM and wish they'd gotten the 5-stitch instead? or vice-versa?

    About 3/16".

The clips on my MTAC fit just fine.

Not I. I've never worn a 5-stitch. My first and only Wilderness Tactical belt is a CSM. I'm quite happy with it.

    I have a couple ( 5 years old ) & Highly recommend them.
The Quality & Cust. service from Wilderness is 1st RATE. ( I have other Products from them ( 2 "Safepackers", 2 "Giles" slings, a brief case, etc.

Just a note on "a GOOD Quality Leather Belt vs a "wilderness". I wear both ( depending on attire) Although my "leather Belts" are very good, the Wilderness, IMHO, are some ways better.

    Thumbs up

Got my 33" C.S.M. lined Original Instructor Belt with 1.75" width on Friday and I'm just waiting for my MTAC to arrive in the next week or so when I can fully test it out, but it works outstandingly with my current holster.
Picture #1: Normal width of belt ~1/4"
Picture #2: Width of belt where velcro wraps over ~1/2"
Picture #3: Length of buckle ~2.75"
