So, I know some here advocate contrasting sights. That is fine but I have a question concerning this. Orange have half the life of green and yellow so they seem less than ideal having to replace more often. Yellow are the first color that our eyes recognize and are naturally drawn to. I have only seen yellow offered on the rear sight never the front. It would seem to me that it would cause a conflict in focusing. Because of this, I put grn/grn on my p2000sk.

If we are to focus on the front sight why would you get rear yellow on the rear? Thoughts?

Not to derail the thread, but I am an advocate of the Yellow/Green combination.

I find it easier to distinguish between the front and rear sights by using that combo. Once I locate the Front Sight that is where my focus is. With all green sights it's like trying to pick out the Snickers Bar that has five peanuts in it instead of the others that only have four peanuts.

I find the eye draws naturally to the Green Front Sight when mated with a Yellow Rear Sight. I use Meps and Trijicon, depending upon the gun. Myself, and others I've talked into going with this combination, have found ourselves to be faster picking up the sights and getting the first shot off when using a timer.

Thanks BikerRN! It seemed to me that it would be the opposite with the yellow drawing the most attention, but I guess not. I love my Trijicons. Maybe I will give yw/gn a try on my USP.
