    Night Sights

I am getting ready to buy some night sights for my Glock 19 and am curious of which brand works best for day and night. I have looked at Trijicon, Meprolight, TruGlo TFO and some others. i like the TFOs because they are tritium and fiber optic, but i have heard of some reliability issues with them. Anyone have any experience with night sights they can share?

I have been using Trijicon and Meprolight for years. Both are reliable and I've yet to have a set go dead. Brownells has good prices on sights.

trijicon is great. i highly recommend them.
I also suggest getting front sight the brighter green and rear sights orange or yellow. This way you eye is drawn to the front sight much faster.
My gun came standard with all yellow sights, I wish I had 2 diff colors.

I love the TruGlo TFOs. I have them on all of my Glocks and would highly recommend them.

At least on the Meprolights, Brownells appears to be a good $25 higher than OpticsPlanet for Rugers (I didn't compare other brands) so I'd check both.

I've got the factory Glock night sights on all my Glocks, they are Meps and I like 'em
I've had experience with my Duty G17, drawn on many a perp in low/no light and I liked having them. They are easy to pick up in daylight too.

I have Trijicon's on my Springfield Armory XD .45 and here they are when it's still daylight in the room. These things light up my nightstand in full darkness like a lightsaber!

gold bead on front, plain rear. The gold bead picks up ample light in all but total darkness.

Drive to Glock in Smyrna and get them installed for $57.00 out the door, and they will re-spring it going through the gun entirely for free.

Show up about 11:00 and drop them off and go to lunch.

You drive up to a guard shack and state your business and are told where to park and to bring the guns to the shack were they zip ty the slides back. They note the serials, your DL, and send you to the lobby. If you have old non drop free mags they will replace them so bring them all. If there is a new updated part you will get it. Tell them to check the trigger and sight alignment and you will get a target back with it.

    Worth the drive.
