The Ultimate Guide to Tactical Pants

OK honestly I am 501 jean kinda of guy on rare occasions slacks or chinos. But I know that a few here wear cargo / tactical style pants and this appeared to be an objective unbiased review of most brands available so thought I'd post it for those interested. The Ultimate Guide to Tactical Pants. Hopefully its useful to someone.

I own two pairs of Blackhawk pants that I purchased from the online military exchange store. Paid $29 each (on sale) and I love them.

Just take them to a seamstress, shouldn't cost but a few bucks to get them hemmed into shorts.

Check out LA Gear at: 5.11 Tactical Shorts All 5.11 Tactical Shorts are in stock. 5.11 shorts, 511 shorts, 511 Tactical Shorts . I haven't purchased any of the shorts, but have ordered a few pair of the cargo pants from them. A few weeks ago they were selling 5.11 tactical pants for $19.95 instead of the regular $49.95! There were limited sizes and colors, but I was albe to get what I needed. They have great service as well as great prices.

I ordered a Maxpedition bag yesterday to replace my aging Ogio bag from LA Police Gear. One of the deals was a free pair of Tactical Pants with an order over $100. They look just like cargo pants, so this should be interesting.

    These are what I wear. Cabela's 7-Pocket Hiker Shorts - 9"

Pockets are large enough for all the stuff I carry around.

    Woolrich Elite

I found what I believe to be Woolrich Elite pants at Gabriel Bros. I bought all they had even close to my size. Bought one of the shirts too. I paid (as my little 3 yr. old says "wait for it") $3.95 each. I got 3 pairs of pants and the shirt for less than $15 plus tax of course. I absolutely love them. I would buy them now for close to retail they are that nice.

Had to look them up. Closest store to me is not so close. Apparently they do not do online sales.

check out these pants from EMS

They tough and light weight and have plenty of pocket room. I like them better than my 5.11 pants. Plus they are a little more normal ;) I hate the way the 5.11 pants are cut
