Anyone runnning a lasermax in their Glock?

I am considering a Lasermax for my Glock 19 or I may get a 26 soon so I may end up putting one in there. I just want to get some info on them.

    Thanks.

If I were to get a laser for any of my Glocks, it would probably be the LaserMax internal actually. I bought a CTC LaserGrip for my wife's G26 and she absolutely loves it. I sort of like it when shooting with it, but I like knowing better that she's confident with it. My lasers are the rail type that I can clip on to the nighttime home security system of my choice, and I like the non-pulsing lasers. I have a friend that has the internal Lasermax in a G23, and when I got to use it, I realized that it's a pulsing laser. But I'd go for it over an external grip laser for my own if I felt the need for my carry. As I grow older and my sight deteriorates according to statistics, I might become more interested in a laser for my carry. Until that time, my carry pistols remain without lasers.

Any issues with setting the shooting grip on the G26 Ramrod? I have heard of the hand sliding lower on the back strap because of the laser position. Yours or her thoughts?

I use the Lasermax on my duty Glock 21.

Mine was free, compliments of the Sheriff.

I have no complaints. It works well, its shoot pretty much right on and I like it. To be fair, lots of Deputies didn't like it. They said it made the slide more difficult to rack( sure if you have the hand strength of a weenie) that it came on in the holster and killed the batteries and some even complained that the laser pointed way to the left or the right.

I never had any issues and I've carried mine for several years. I've replace the batteries once, and that was probably from me harassing the cat with it.

You may have to tinker with it to shoot dead on, but you just got to be smarter than the laser. I had to roll mine a bit to get it to shoot in line with the sights and it has pretty much stayed there.

Qualifying with it on the range really ain't sporting once you get it dialed in. I like it. Awhile back I posted a picture of it on this forum but I suppose that topic faded away into cyber space.

Mine works great (G21 SF). Good sighting out of the box, great switch positioning (my off-the-trigger finger rests on it naturally), and the strobe effect makes it easy to see in daylight as well.

I've never had problems with it, and it takes up no extra space. My holsters (including one I made) have never engaged the laser on accident.

    Good gear.

I used one in a 23 years ago for a while. I didn't like how it would turn on when i didn't want it to all the time. it worked fine though and did what it was supposed to do.

I had a Lasermax internal laser in my G19. It did get turned on in my Smartcarry twice, and ran the batteries down. Lasermax did send me a cut-down switch/takedown lever, which solved the issue.

But...I prefer the "instant-on" of the Crimson Trace units - just grip the pistol normally, and the laser is on. I sold my Lasermax, and now have CT lasers on all my carry guns.

My G19 now has a LaserGRIP - so I can still mount a light on the rail for home defense duties. My G26 and LCPs all have the LaserGUARDS.

I have found a quirk on the LaserGUARDS - if you tighten the two halves together too much, the laser will sometimes not turn on. If you back off on the tension of the two screws holding it together, it works fine. Not sure why this is, but I've noted this behavior on several of these units.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

I've had one for several years on a G23. Its okay, but I have to keep an ample supply of batteries on hand (which aren't found in everyday local stores) due to the damn thing getting switched on inadvertently in the holster. It is real easy to turn the thing on just laying the gun on the counter if you aren't careful, too!

Getting it sighted in ain't easy either. So, I have switched to the lasermax externals that slide on the rail. I haven't tried any CT grips yet. That will be next.

I've been thinking about picking one up. Being a lefty, and shooting with a high thumb hold makes the laser grips useless to me.

I have one in my G36. I bought it used on Ebay and it was a steal of a deal.
It works fine. It's spot on. It's very high quality overall. It has been unproblematic but, not sure I'd pay full retail for one.

I can envision a few possible scenarios where it may possibly prove useful and as long as the Glock needs a guide rod I figure that it might as well do something else (AKA perform some other possibly worthwhile function) beside just being a guide rod.

I have one on my G17, and love it. Dead on with my sights right out of the box. And I have not had any trouble with it inadvertantly being turned on.
