Hello everyone in DefensiveCarry Land,
I was wondering if anyone could advice or refer me to someone on the net or anywhere else who makes custom exotic wood grips for all types of 1911s, as well as any other gun models. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Remember as a rule of thumb in defensive carry...your intention is always to STOP....not to hurt, however; in a gun fight, its either me or them.....and Im sure as hell that it will NOT be me.

I just ordered a couple of Ruger SP101 inserts in rosewood and white pearl from altamontco.com
$14 for rosewood and $19 for white pearl. Plus $9 shipping and handling.
Full grips are more expensive, but they seem to have them for a lot of different makes and models.
Yeah, My old CCW 9 MM is nicknamed "Barkey"
New CCW LCP is "Elsie"
and my 12 Ga S x S Coach gun is "Boomer"
Wife's weapon is "Miss Pearl" (SP101 .357 w/mother of pearl inserts)
We're old so we can get away with that.
Esmeralda, already noted above, is excellent. http://www.esmeralda.cc/
I have purchased three sets of grips for various 1911s from her in the past.
Excellent quality, and quick delivery.
