laser recommendations?

I just bought a XD40 4" that I was thinking about using for my HD gun. I will not be carrying it. Can anyone recommend a rail mounted laser that is reliable that doesnt break the bank? I may ultimately go with a rail light/laser, but right now im just thinking of something simple and inexpensive to find out if I even like having a laser. Rail mounted...the lower profile the better, but not that important.

Its pains me to say it, as I despise lasers and there use on a defensive pistol... but Insight and Crimson Trace both make a quality product. Lasermax makes a guide rod mounted laser which is pretty slick, but I cant recommend it.

I second what "Sixto" said, I own both brands and they work outstandingly.

I have never seen a laser that was both cheap and good. I think they are mutually exclusive. I don't know what qualifiers as cheap to you. I have an Insight M6X light / laser combo. I got mine for about 260 dollars on Ebay. I just ordered the LED upgrade for the light. It has worked well as Sixto noted.

I have the TLR-2 also, it is rugged and has held up to range use so far (I have about 500 rounds through the weapon with it attached). Optics planet is exellent and offers free ship and exellent customer service.
