I use the REI brand shirts, and they work very well. I use them when I bike, and run. For the $19 sale price they work very well.

What do the shirts run at Walmart? Those I've seen at other stores on line were pretty pricey, though with the 112 degree temperature today in Vegas, I'm thinking that they wouldn't be a bad idea.

I just bought another such shirt at Wal-Mart last week and it was $7.9x! I saw them there for $6 to $12 each.

The tank-top variety that I saw were "basketball" shirts, so a very long tail and were ~$12-15 IIRC.

I saw at least up to 2X on the rack. I'm a L or sometimes XL depending on cut and whether or not the desire is to hide a gun, so I don't look at the larger sizes.

My guess is that they probably carry most shirts into the 3X or 4X sizes.

Anybody got an identifying name for the Wally World brand of these types of shirts? Might have to look into these as I have an aversion to sweating my ass off in the summer. I can only imagine what it'd be like carrying once my permit comes in.

Two of mine are marked "Dri-Star" for the brand.

There were numerous brands, colors, etc. on their racks.

I picked up one of these shirts since I seem to sweat a lot a work. It seemed to work pretty well; although, I'll admit that I've never worn a brand-name microfiber shirt.

    Really??

I checked eBay and find the same shirt I bought for approximately the same money I paid ($7.9x) BUT the $6.00 S/H charge means that the buyer pays almost DOUBLE what I paid at Wal-Mart!

    That's a bargain?

I use Under Armor and the Wal-mart "Athletic Works shirts exclusively.
The "compression" version of the Wally Mart Athletic Works is the same material blend as the UA original heat gear (percentage of fabric blend varies slightly)

The cost $9.99 ea versus $25.00 for the UA and work just as well. Actually they seem to be holding up better than the UA.

For those of you with access to a military exchange, there is a generic version at most exchanges..not sure of the price though..they are usually on racks right next to the UA shirts and shorts.

+1 on that one. I don't personally wear them, but when one of my guys leans over my shoulder to look at something I'm showing them they are right under the A/C vent and I just about elbow them in the crotch every time because that's exactly what they smell like (only worse IMO) and then the smell is blowing right on me. Never fails.

They really need to move that damn vent. If you don't work within 3 feet of someone or are around them at that distance you'd probably be fine, but don't come any closer. lol (Just FYI, all of my guys usually get the Wally World versions. Only the "hard core" ones that seem to also have all seasons of "COPS" on DVD usually have the UA brand.)

    Cheers.
