Has anyone had or heard anything good about these boots? Im interested in the fact that they are 55 bucks.... My Rockys have let me down and are already threading and the leather is tearing in some spots...

    Thanks for the feedback

Never heard of that site/brand,....They look like they are nice,...I've always wondered about boots with the side zip? If it actually is durable/holds up when you wear them all day?

I wear steel toe Timberlands at work,...

I don't have that style boot but I do have Altama boots. They are one of the official makers of military boots. I have a pair of desert boots and they are very comfortable.

I wear a pair of bates side zip with composite toes 9 hours a day working security. I spend the majority of my time on my feet and the zipper is great. only problem is that the soles are already wearing but that's due to the few miles a day that i walk and its all on pavement

SIDE ZIPS. The greatest invention since frozen toast.
I'll only buy boots with side zips these days.

    Side-zips are pretty great, agreed.

The direction of the pattern of lugs and "grip" areas on the tread of the boot doesn't look like it would be all that grippy in a range of surfaces. I wonder what folks who have actually worn this specific tread think of it in various conditions.

About the most grippy light or medium-duty I've ever used have invariably come with Vibram soles. There might well be various soles that improve overall grip on various surfaces, but Vibram is pretty decent.

Vibram's "military" group of soles, for example: click
