At the very least, for my typical day,i have my 1911 on my right owb,2 spare mags on my left owb.

In full on red alert,i have the above plus a Judge crossdraw owb in front of the mags,a backpack full of ammo, and a Benelli M2 in my hands.

2 spare 15 rd mags for a total of 3 mags, 45 rounds. Could push to 46 rds, but dont.

Carry weak side, 3:00, in a fobus paddle dual mag pouch. OWB.

Always at least one for the gun I'm carrying. Mode of carry varies, from mag pouch on belt to alone in a pocket, depending on my current situation.

I carry 2 spare mags IWB (weak side) and I have 2 additional spare mags in my car console for a total firepower of 75 rounds of 9mm or 50 rounds of .40 S&W depending on my EDC weapon for the week. Whenever I carry my J-Frame as my main EDC (wearing shorts o quick ride to the store), I pack a loaded cylinder and 2 HKS speed loaders inside a nylon mag pouch OWB for a total of 15 shots of .38+P Golden Saber JHP. I have also carried my EDC pistol on strong side, 2 spare mags on weak side, J-frame in pocket holster (right side) and 2 speed strips in left front or rear pocket.

1 spare 15 or 17 rounder in my lf pocket or a neoprene dollar store cell phone case on my left side...i hate how high most mag pouches ride as it gets in the way bending and getting in/out of car...the cell pouch holds the mag low and completely out of the way without drawing any attention at all....

Either one or two extra. In the SmartCarry or OWB weak side.

In my civilian attire two extra Wilson 47Ds (giving me 16 extra .45 rounds), in a dual mag pouch on my weak side. More than two on person seems a bit extreme to me, and if you are going to go through the trouble of concealing one, might as well have a second since they aren't hard to conceal.

For anyone who doesn't carry a spare mag for a bottom-feeder, consider most malfunctions are magazine related. And for those who throw the magazine in a pocket, consider that it probably won't always be sitting the same way, throwing variables into your reloads, and increasing the time it takes for you to perform one. Just a thought.

I just carry the one in my gun.
But that doesn't mean I don't have a few strategically placed around town... taped under mailboxes and such ;^)

Always carry one extra mag, except if I go to an 'extra mag town'...Jacksonville or Orlando.

I'm guessing that you carry more than one mag and the method of carry is another gun, no?

I suspect that GMan carries no extra mags as he prefers wheel guns.
