Why you need a good gun belt
Hey Guys and Gals: I did a review on the importance of good gun belt. I think this is a very overlooked issue, not for everyone, but a lot of people. Often folks feel they can't carry a firearm because it is too heavy, uncomfortable etc. A good gun belt will take care of a lot of these issues.
I did a review a while ago.

Johniac7078;
Great review on "gun belts". Good information that we all need. I agree, totally, that you need a quality dual layered gun belt and you certainly did your home work. The belt is just as important as the holster as it's a complete carry system.
The belts you selected are all great and all have a purpose. The Wilderness (5 Stitch) which you displayed and I own 3 although I don't wear them as much as I used to. Mainly with Hawk plastic holsters when I don't want to scratch up a nice leather belt. The Wal Mart (single strap) I'm not too familiar with and lasty Jims (The Beltmans) dual layered gun belt. Jim does a fine job and is one of the true gentlemen in our leather industry.
The only comment I could make is the "stiffener". With the firearms you showed (from the 92 the Glock to the 1911) generally stiffeners are not required. Although, some deem them necessary.
But regardless, a true quality gun belt will make all the difference in the world to all day carry.
Johniac7078 - keep up the good work and good luck in IDPA.

Really great video. Not only does a weak belt cause the gun to be unstable and harder to conceal, you may also find that it makes the gun difficult to draw. A solid, quality belt will allow much better and more predictable extraction.

In my view, it’s all quite relative to the firearm you carry. As much as I admire the premium belts for use with guns, I have found that some standard dress belts work very well for my pithy snub or similar. In fact, I have two holsters that flat-out won’t thread on my Ken Null gun belts without the use of a pair of vise-grips! Still, there isn’t anything more appealing than a cool looking' sharkskin covered waist-wrapper.
