I too carry an E2 everywhere. I sometimes carry the E2D.
It helps often, as one time indoors, daylight outside, at a local restaurant someone dropped their eyeglass lense out of their frames, and onto the floor. I whipped out the E2, and lit up under the table, and he found his lense.
Have you ever tried the Steamlight Stylus3?
It is a real penlight. Powerful, and handy to carry. It takes quadruple \"A\" batteries which initself are hard to find. I do recommend a Stylus3 however. Not for a tactical light, but for all those dark places.
Yep! I either carry a SureFire Aviator or Streamlight TL3 LED clipped in my left front pant\'s pocket. Alough the TL3 is a bit big, it\'s still workable.
I carry a much smaller LED light, I picked up at Wal-Mart for $6. It uses one AAA battery and should run for about 40 hours before the battery goes down. Of, course it\'s not nearly as bright as the other two, but it\'s great if you don\'t want to mess up your night vision.
I wouldn\'t leave home without them.
P.S.
Any chance you could change the text color to white?
I have one of the small aluminum LED lights from WalMart I carry in my vehicle and have a small Streamlight (not a Stylus). A SureFire E2E anodized is under the Christmas tree right now (my son let it slip)
As for the color scheme, if you will go into the \"Control Panel\" above there are some other color schemes available. I am not real crazy about the dark background myself and will probably be adding some additional themes. Some of the other themes have some header graphic problems still to be cleaned up and hopefully on the weekend I can fix those.
Nope, unlike most people, I take the extra 30 to 60 seconds out of my time to properly adjust my eyes for darkness.
But unlike most people i work 3rd shift in the dark for my whole shift, so once my eyes are adjusted the last thing i want to do is turn on a flashlight and mess up my night vision. Though i do keep a 4 cell mag light in my truck just in case.
I carry a SureFire 6P or a Streamlight Scorpion constantly. I\'m about to get a Sig P220 RT (I think that\'s the designation for the Sig w/rail) and put a SureFire X200 gunlight ON it and CARRY that on trips that I take the family on for vacations. Might even carry it around town if the Blade-Tech holster I get for it is comfortable and conceals well.
if you are carring a sure fire you can take the end off and put on a washer from a water hose and this will keep it from getting turned on in your pocket
Streamlight Strion here, have it\'s recharger hard mounted and wired into my cars electrical system so I can recharge it as I drive around. Clips right behind my center console so it\'s within easy reach.
I also keep a Streamlight Scorpion in there too for emergencies.
I carry an Inova X1
it is a single AA powered LED light made out of aluminium and has a very bright spot. Not great to fill a room or area but does ok for pocket carry.
Also keep a G2 Nitrolon in the car, a Z2 on my duty belt and a Streamlight Scorpion by my bed. Also a Streamlight key-mate or Batonlite when I go out at night.

I\'m half vampire as well. I take my cheap surefire G2 everywhere. A lot can happen in those 30 to 60 seconds it takes for eyes to adjust.
I mainly got it because my 6 D cell maglight was too bulky for general use. I still use it (batteries last longer - it also doubles as a great club) but it never leaves the car.
Dmag, nice tip about the washer. Mine used to come on in my pocket a lot, not to mention setting the flashlight down somewhere and forgetting its on. I made an aluminum washer to go between the tube and cap, talk about a PITA. Not to mention the aluminum ruins the uber-tactical black finish, lol.
I am not saying there is not a purpose, just that I do not carry a flashlight. At home, I have floodlights that can be switched on.. My biggest concern (personally) is home defense.
Heck, I dont even have one in my car and that I probably should have without question!

Do you have to take it out to make the light work?
