I love this Orvis vest!
I received this Orvis Poplin Vest as a gift and man do I like it!
It has a net backing that lets air in from the slits in the back and in the 100+ temps, it's not even noticeably warmer than just a light shirt!
It covers my IWB holster very well and might even cover an OWB holster.
Only one drawback, it's pricey! But man it's nice!

There is never a problem with a good fedora. And, nobody but us will notice a 5.11 vest. Sheep just don't see those things.I liked it too because it doesn't have a zillion pockets and it doesn't look too military or SWAT like 5.11 gear.
But now I'm thinking I might need a Fedora!

Thumper, Orvis stuff is pretty nice.
But you're right, man....it does cost.
It's very comfortable even on the hottest days but it's a look you either like or hate! I’m getting so I want to grab it all the time. I like having a safe pocket for the cellular and don’t have to have it on my belt or even use a case. Plus I can carry a couple extra items I wouldn’t normally.
It just kinda grows on ya! (either that, or I'm just getting too old to care!)

Have you tried the vest with sandals and white sox? I hear that is a very lethal combination, and the BGs trimble in their boots at the mere sight of the combination!

White socks and sandals. My area is chock full of em'. Branson is the king of those fun fashions of the tourist. don't forget the fanny pac.

Don't say that too loud. The great town of Branson and Chris in socks and sandals is not a picture I want in my mind.
Love Branson. Wife and I have been 3 time with friends. I recommend Branson to anyone looking for a great vacation.
