Most people drill the back receiver plate and attach the hardware to it. It's not easy to drill, the reciever is more than likely case hardened.
There is another option that I have seen that works. That is to place a piece of steel underneath the pistol grip. Just loosen the nut, slip it in and tighten. Its quick and easy and it does good.

Here's one idea that works quite well for me, and it's ambidextrous: I took an AR-15 endplate and relieved the grip to mount flush with the endplate between the grip and receiver.

Thanks. I like the idea of the piece under the grip. I didn't want to try to drill the receiver.
