Quick Access Safe for Long Guns

I was looking through the Cabela's Website and noticed this new safe. It looks like it operates like those bedside safes with the keypad input and would allow a person to keep a loaded carbine or shotgun loaded and out of reach of children. I have seen shotgun locks before that mount to a wall and secure the gun by the action but only work for shotguns. It looks like manufacturers are starting to now focus on how to secure long guns for ready use.

Either product would seem like a viable way to keep a loaded long gun at the ready for HD.

I will likely invest in the Sentry HD Center in the near future!

The ShotLock is nice, but I've had to ditch it due to modifications to my HD shotgun that made it incompatible. I'm now using a slightly modified GunVault BreechVault, but I can definitely see the benefit of the Sentry HD Center - enough so that I will get one!

I really like the shotlock. I just have to figure out where to mount it. The "virtual silent" operation on the HD Center is an enticing feature.
