I just now remembered this...
A few years ago when I was prepping up for some deep woods solo camping my Brother Gary popped a small bag of Fritos into my pack.
I kinda looked at him like this~~~~> since I really don't like Fritos all that much.
He said: Necessary fats - Salt & IT MAKES GREAT KINDLING/TINDER.
So...I DID try it back then & sure 'nuff a small stack of Fritos will give you quite a long & hot burn time & very easy to light.
So just a few minutes ago I went onto YouTube and decided to check out if anybody else on Planet EARTH was actually aware of doggone Fritos for use in fire starting.
And sure enough..........YouTube what an amazing place. Anyway back then it was a new one on me and possibly today it will be a new one on you.

Cool tip... If the world goes all "Walking Dead" on us I guess it wouldn't hurt to put Fritos on my "to loot" list.
I only carried them for extreme emergencies like If I ever ran into the Frito Bandito

I rather have pork rinds; they are healthier and IMO they taste much better.

Somebody email this to Bear Grylls! This is one of the best survival tips I've heard in a long time!!
I dunno - He usually digs around in his pockets or where ever & can only find....one match...a cough drop...possibly a scrap of beef jerky...3 cashews & on a good day a rusted can of dog food.
Oh & I almost forgot. Whatever you "pack in" folks...please always remember to pack it back out.
