    TruGlo Sights; maybe the answer

I purchased a set of TruGlo sights for G26 this weekend, as the old Trijicons had seen better days. I must say that so far I am highly impressed.

For those not familiar with them, they have both fiber optic and tritium inserts, so they glow constantly in any light. And they glow bright. Even during the day, they still glow.

I checked the sights this weekend in all lighting, and I like what they do. One of the things I like is that they do not have the white circle around them, and the front sight has enough room so that it is easy to make equal amounts of daylight on both sides of the post, as would be desired of a good target style sight.
I think it's possibly the best of both worlds.

I know that posting pics aren't your favorite past-time, but I wish I could see the ones that you're talking about.

    How's the arm feeling?

Thanks, I'm feeling good. I will take some pics, but will have to get OS or bmcgilvray to post for me as my computer is still down, and I don't know how to do it from an IPhone.

You'll probably be pretty happy with those TFOs. I've had 'em on my XD sub for a while now and I've been happy with them.

I've had them on my M&P9c, too, for about 600 rounds worth of practice at the range. I really like them. As you say, very easy to see under all lighting conditions.

I have them on my G19 and G22 and love them. I have a set for my G27 but don't have them installed yet.

Have a set on my G34, but the plastic rod in the front site likes to come loose. About to ditch them in favor of a set of Ameriglo sights.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

That's always been my concern with fiber optics on a carry weapon. Last summer I loaded trijicons onto all of my Glocks and couldn't be happier.

I had heard that has happened. So, I told the guy I bought them from how unhappy I could get if this happened, and he agreed to replace them with another set or a set of similar value if that happened. So I'll give them a try. Nothing to lose.

I had read about that issue also, but there were also people who claimed that the issue had been solved. We'll see, won't we!

Here are some pics of mine:

    Gun1 - Side view
    Gun2 - Front view
    Gun4 - Front site
    Gun5 - Rear site
Gun6 - Site picture in shade (focus on rear sites)
Gun7 - Site picture with direct sunlight on sites (focus on front site)

I would have liked to have taken some pics in the dark, but I was too lazy to get the tripod out.

    Hope this helps,
    Doc

    Okay, here are Gman's pics:

The first is in ambient light in his garage. The second is about 4:45pm with an overcast sky. The third is in total darkness.

They're definitely brighter than my trijicons.
