I use this belt everyday, for everything. Very good support and reasonably priced.

60 bones is what I spent on mine. Going on two years now and it's still holding up strong, so im satisfied. I bought the belt with my holster...one stop shop.

You can get a decent carry belt from 511 for around $40. The custom makers seem to run around $70 to $90. Whichever way you go, a good belt is mandatory.

There are several reasons for that. For one thing, a quality belt will reduce the felt weight of the firearm. For another, it will secure the weapon such that drawing and re-holstering is easier. With the right setup, a good belt reduces your odds of printing. A poor belt fails on all these metrics.

You can go to the belt makers online or those big names most suggest as being the best in the business. Personally, I've gone to local leather shops and custom ordered mine. Double hook, length, width, thickness, etc..... Local leather shop can't be beat IMO, especially for the price. I've had two custom made belts for carry made in the past four years....still wearing them.

Check out a plain old Carhart belt. I got one for around $10 up in the Amish country of PA. Works great.

I "went cheap" on a belt. No problems so far.

It's a work belt (labeled that way) from wally world.

Inch and a half wide, black, canvas covering what I'm guessing is some fairly stiff plastic with an inch wide leather strip sewn in the middle.

Works great and I think it was only 12 dollars.

Of course I'm still saving up for a custom leather one with my name stamped on the back (like the one I had when I was a kid).
