    Pistol Cleaning Kit

    Hey Ya'll

OK I have a SA XD service .40S&W. I don't currently have anything other that the bore brush that came with it to clean it.

If you had to recommend cleaning products and stuff, what would they be, where would you get them. I have three sources that I can purchase stuff at, Wal-Mart, a local gun shop, and B.P.S.

    Thanks in advance
    MikeV

Otis makes some good products that store easily in a range bag....

Are Otis products readily avail in the open market or are these avail thru an "online" source?

You can buy a cheap pistol cleaning kit, and make it better by adding rags, cotton swabs, a tooth brush, and a dental pick. They all work fairly well.

I use the PocKit by Kleen Bore for most of my pistols. It can be disassembled and stored in the handle of the rod, and also somes with a breech protector on the coated steel rod. It is good for range cleaning, as it is readily trasnportable in one easy case.

Try Phil Smith here: http://www.ccwsupply.biz/CleaningKit...eanersPage.htm. He's a super nice guy with an excellent return policy and good to do business with. Check it out!
