And make sure it's not a kid that picks the spud, or Dept of Labor will be on your case as well.

Back to the OP, I wish the video would have had some unsupressed shots from the guns to serve as a comparison. Still, interesting concept.

Nothing like making up your own idea for putting something at the end of a firearm that is discharging something that can get you killed.

You should probably not try to recycle those oil filters by installing them in your vehicle after using them as supressors.

Do you'all remember how there used to be shooters that would duct tape a 2 liter plastic soft drink bottle onto the end of their .22 rifle barrel?
How doggone dumb would that look? and...how would you use your sights?
I remember reading it in some gun ragazine years ago.
I have absolutely no idea if it ever actually suppressed anything or not.

I don't know about oil filters, but I've seen not so smart people use potatoes as suppressors.

I assume that we cannot make one of these on our own without some special license and/or paying some special tax?

That kinda thinking can get you prison time.It is Illegal to suppress a firearm unless you use a registered suppressor, the $275.00 cost for the registered part and tax stamp wouldn't make the down payment on your lawyer if caught with an illegally suppressed weapon.
What would be interesting is if they make an offset oil filter that would allow you to use the standard sights

I'm not saying to bypass ATF, you can just fill out a form for the device you weld together. All the ATF cares is that you let them know you have a suppressor. A lot of people make their own suppressors which is ok as long as they fill out their FORM to the ATF and get the approval.
