My favorite "coyote tan" plastic (I should say polymer) MRE spoon...

It fits in standard molle gear, no mods needed

It's compatible with all other MREs, even older series

Can be used as a makeshift slingshot for self defense

Handle can be melted down into a sharp point to make a prison shank/ "lethal force combative tool"

    Udderly undetectable by metal detectors

    Legal in all 50 states

    Low price point

    Easily washable/ dishwasher safe

Has been proven "combat effective" by both conventional and special forces units

Has been utilized in military operations worldwide

Functions in all terrain environments, from the sands of Iraq to the jungles of Brazil

Ergonomics have been proven through centuries of refinement

Different models have been utilized by virtually every modern military worldwide

Pretty much an essential piece of gear....

Nightflyer, I happen to have a close friend that is on NASA's response team. You work for NASA?

For boots, I prefer Asolo or Danner's, depending on what I'm doing. Then again, I once shot a dude while I was wearing Salvatore Ferragamo's, so go figure.

Lowa and Merrell make really nice boots as well.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

"What's your best Tactical Gear and Equipment?"

Anything that doesn't have the word 'tactical' stamped on it.

My best tactical gear is my aged, yet still nimble mind. I Carry it Always, but Never Tell.

I can't remember the last time I bought something of quality that had anything like "Tactical" or similar on it.

The only thing I own that has 'tactical' in its name is my Wilderness Tactical 5-stitch nylon belt.

I thought I'd love my 5.11 boots but they were only waterproof about halfway up...fail.

I love my bates ultralites (not waterproof, different boot for a different purpose)

Admonishment accepted. But in all fairness, I thought the OP to be an attempt at humor.

I have to admit though, side-zip boots are pretty danged handy! I bought a pair of Converse for farm work, and they're pretty nice.

In hot Summer weather I usually wear various Palladium cotton canvas super light weight desert boots. They are so comfortable it's almost like going barefoot.
I have green and black and tan...I love them. But, they are not available in Side Zip configuration.

I like my feet to be comfortable so I also wear the hand crafted bull hide deer skin lined moccasins by this company.

They are just great. Not very Tactical though.

What could be more "tactical" than complete silence?!
