Another thread got me thinking about weapons cleaners. I don't recall anyone ever saying that they have ever used this product so I figured that I'd mention it.
I have been using this stuff for years with good results.(as a cleaner only) It is mainly used on the bbls of the weapons that people bring to me that,"just don't seem to shoot good anymore". These are the ones that look as they haven't been cleaned in a long time.
This will take all the crud(incl. copper) out. After this I follow it with Rem Clean and/or JB cleaner, then go on from there. The product can be had from any GM parts dept.
GM -- Goodwrench-- Top Engine Cleaner --Stock # 1050002 Cost >>>$8. IIRC
This comes in a silver and black, non resealable can so have other containers ready. You get 15oz. so be prepared to share this with your friends. Believe me you will NEVER use a can by yourself.
This product has worked well for me over the years. --------
Always glad to hear about any other useful cleaners etc - thx.
