never used surefire magazine but i own their e2d defender flashlight. it's surefire their products are expensive but they work. i personaly would get the 60 round magazine because when in the gun it stills look proportional to the gun. the 100 rounds just looks tacky like a Glock 33rd mag. just my .02 cents
The 60 has received some pretty decent reviews and the 100 hasn't been on the street long enough for a reliable cross section of reviews to be counted on.
I'd go for the 60 anyway since it fits most all dual mag pouches.

I've put a couple hundred rounds through the 60 rounder with zero issues. Not that 200ish rounds is a great test, but if you're buying the next case of ammo i'll surely let you know how they goNo experience with the bigger mag though. Just too heavy IMO when its full of ammo.
My choice is still two p-mag's coupled together. Weight is about the same (negligible difference), but most importantly it allows me to switch between two different types of ammo quickly.
I think I would rather buy 7 or 8 30-rd PMAGs for the same money as 1 60-rd Surefire mag.

I personally like the SF 60 rounder. It is pricey, but I have never had any issues with the 2 I own.
Pros:
Twice an many rounds in 1 mag.
Is not much larger than a 30rd mag.
Cons:
Expensive
Heavy

I got 2 60 rounders. They work really well but cost about 5 times more for just twice the round count. IMO you are better off going with the 100 rounder if you want more round capacity. I wouldnt use it for anything else other than the range. the 60 rounder weighs the gun down too much for me
I ordered this a while back: KCI Korea 100rd AR15 Drum Beta Magazine
It actually feeds amazingly well.
No, I can't think of any use for it, other than that I wanted it before someone says that I can't have it.![]()

I see more and more guys on the competition seen using the surefire 60 rounders. Never seen a malfunction yet.

Military arms posted a review here a while back... He had bad luck if I remember correctly.
$100 for a 60 rd mag.
Vs cost for 2 - 30 rd mags .....

I don't have any need for larger magazines than 30-round and prefer the 20-round. For my purposes a cumbersome 60-100 round magazine hanging on my AR 15 would be too much of a whipping to fool with.
While it's not true of everyone, there is a certain type of shooter out there who is scared of the reload. They take seriously that ol' confederate lament about the Henry rifle used by some Federal units during the Civil War: "That Yankee rifle that is loaded on Sunday and shot all week."
“No possible rapidity of fire can atone for habitual carelessness of aim with the first shot.”
