Lasermax??

Is it really worth it to put lasermax on a glock 30(is it accurate?)

From all I have read it is a great product, although I feel that I will purchase the Crimson Trace laser grips product over lasermax for one reason: With the laser max you need to turn on a switch in order for the laser to operate, with the CT laser there are pressure pads on the grips that turn on the laser when the pistol is naturally gripped. This is just one less thing that I have to think about when the precious seconds count, and my family is in trouble.

I personally think lasermax sucks. I had one for my Glock 19. I installed it myself and it worked horribly. Now your first thought may be that I installed it incorrectly, but I took it to a gunsmith and he a ok'd the install. In a nutshell it was very difficult to turn on. It was easy to push the switch, but hard to find the "sweet spot" where it would come on. Also once I started shooting it would not stay on at all. Every 2-3 shots it would just cut off and I would have to find the "sweet spot" all over again. I personally would not ever buy one again, but to each his own. When it did work, however it was pretty accurate, but I found I was much better with my standard night sights. If I wanted a laser, I would go with the crimson trace, but thats just one man's humble opinion.

They seem to work, my buddies G23 has 1 that has worked well for 100's of rounds.

I installed one on my G30 and I must say it has worked flawlessly for me. I also installed it myself, very easy I might add. The other day at the range I shot about 200 +P rounds through it and never once did it shut off, pretty accurate to.

I'm using one on a Glock 36.
The ON/OFF Switch is small but, easily manageable once you get used to it.
I have never had a problem with mine switching off by itself or with finding the ON location or with the unit switching itself ON in holster. Mine is "spot on the mark" as far the relationship of the Red Laser Dot to P.O.I. I really like mine & consider it to be a useful addition as an accessory defensive tool to have in the old Bag Of Tricks.

I have heard of some having recoil spring problems on other forums.
