I'm not sure if it's EXACTLY the same type, but its the USA trigger. (ultra-safety assurance, I believe). I call it a butterfly trigger. Don't know if anyone elso does though.

Ignore this - I didn't realize that it just replaces the magazine base plate - thought it was a new magazine! Still, thanks for posting!

I do have the 7 round magazine, no issues.

You can pocket carry your XD-S? It's much too big and heavy to carry in any of my pockets.

Pearce Grip Extension for XD-S - Gun Porn
I just got one this week. They run from $539 - $550 in my area, Georgia. The grip has to be squeezed from the back too when you fire it.
If you use the 7 round mag it gives you more room for your little finger without getting a grip extender. But it isn't as compact so I'll use it as a second mag.

Thanks for posting this, this is exactly what i was looking for for my XDS. I bought 2 of them and just installed them. I absolutely love the new feel. I feel like this is how they should have come standard from the factory. Thanks again!
