Hey everybody, I just got my wife her first pistol a week ago, the BG380. She loves it, but the sights are lacking in our opinion. We're thinking of either painting them with high visibility paint, or looking into aftermarket sights perhaps XS big dot tritium night sights.
Any suggestions on paint options or aftermarket sights? They don't necessarily have to be night sights either.
Anyone have any pics of modified sights?

.380? Spend the money on ammo and get better at point shooting, forget the sights.
Try some bright paint or nail polish, see if that works before spending money on new sights.
I'm not sure how the aftermarket is for sights for that pistol, since it comes with a laser installed, so most people who have issues with the sights would, I imagine, just use the laser.
Yes sir I agree, and I will be teaching my wife the point shoot technique. But being it is her first handgun she wants to have a little fun at the range with target shooting using the sights as well. And the stock black on black sights make this almost impossible if your shooting at a black target.Quote:

However, I like the XS Big dot sights and have then on all my Glocks. I'd suggest that the recommendation to try painting first (white - both front and rear) and then going to the Big Dot is an excellent suggestion. The little gun is surprisingly accurate and with good sights will provide her with some fun as long as she doesn't mind the significant recoil in her hands.
Another Big Dot fan here. Most quality instructors talk a lot about "front sight, front sight, front sight", well, it's mighty hard to miss it. IMHO, Big Dots & the S&W Bodyguard seem an ideal match.
I can see how you may have difficulties seeing the stock sights, but they are actually quite good compared to my j frames. I second the motion to put nail polish on front rail, as it is easier to see during the daytime. Thenintegrated laser comes in handy after dark, but you cannot always count on something that requires a laser. Good luck w your decision. Bunker
I just ordered the Glow On paint for my Bodyguard 380. Seems like it's worth trying for $12.
I agree, I have the 24/7 version Big Dot on my colt officers carry gun. They are the best I have found for a defensive weapon. Fast acquesion day or night, even for aging eyes.Quote:

I replaced the sights on my Springfield XDm with XS Big Dot Tritiums, then enhanced the front sight with hobby paint and the rear sight with vinyl tape.
