LOL.....Maybe in addition to the sash, T-shirt, hat and badge......a scrolling LED sign for the back window of the car stating "Look at me, I have a CC permit...I'm a Dirty Harry wannabe badass!". Some badge-shaped decals for the car doors would be neat too....

This thread Saw an Idiot with a CCW Permit Badge at the mall has A LOT of discussion about what people here think about the badge concept. Enjoy the laughter.

When confronted with questions like this, I often think to myself, what would my dad have thought of this? If the answer is a dismissive wave and a grunt, sarcastic comment or (very, very rarely) laughter, I generally reject the notion, as you should in this case.

Never hurts to ask, though. That's what everybody's here for.

    Cheers,

    Gav

There you go. Why conceal, why keep it a secret lol. Let everyone know. One of two things is going to happen. Everyone will stay away or someone will think they are bad and try to show you lol.

Go with your instincts that are telling you that it's not a good idea. CCW = The first C stands for "CONCEALED."

Dad always said things like "You can stand out in a crowd, but sometimes it's more important to be able to blend in." He was a big fan of personalized license plates that didn't really make sense to anyone (something easy for YOU to remember if you need to, but not something everyone on the street will remember as you drive by). The nicer your bike, the more important it is to lock it up with all the rest of the bikes - Just use a better lock.

All sorts of stuff that didn't make any sense when he said it, but it all makes sense now...

The wording of the OP made me think Missouri actually issued a badge. I can't believe they would actually do that.

It would PROBABLY impress high school girls, other than that can't see it would be a good idea.

Concealed means you don't advertise. Period.

Start your research by looking at the "Sticky" threads...
    CHL Badges

Conceal - to hide, to keep secret

Wearing any type of signage that states that you are concealing a handgun is in fact openly advertising that you:

    1. are not attempting to hide your handgun

    And

    2. are not attempting to keep your handgun a secret.
