Wilderness Instructor, 3 stitch vs 5 stitch and comfort.

Let's say I wanted to buy an Instructor Belt for use when not carrying anything. The 5 stitch is obviously more versatile because of its stiffness, but is it less comfortable than the 3 stitch when not carrying anything? If so, by how much?

I have a 5 stitch and have worn it without carrying and it's perfectly comfortable for me.

3 stitch is plenty stiff for anything short of full duty belt

I think I have the 5 stitch - its comfy with or without a firearm.

I too recommend the 5-stich belt. I use it whether I'm carrying or not. Quite comfortable and secure enough for my M&P 9c.

I agree with what others have said--I have a 5 stitch and it is plenty comfortable, when I am carry with a holster on it or when I don't. (In that case, I have a S&W 642 in a front pocket, as I am always armed where ever it is legal).
