    Burris or Weaver? Help me decide

    I've narrowed my choices down to two scopes for the AR15 (18 inch barrel) I have on order. These are (1) a Burris Extreme Tactical (XTR) 1-4X24 and (2) a Weaver Tactical 2-10X36. Both are illuminated. I intend to use my AR15 for off-hand shooting, plinking, and target shooting, so I'm looking for an all-around good optics setup. What would you get, and why? Thanks.
