    Kimber mag fix

I just bought a follower and spring replacement from Tripp Research for a Kimber factory mag. Does the base plate come off of this thing?
Someone said I might have to go in through the top. I would guess that means destroying the factory follower. Kind of hate to do that.
Surely someone has done this and can give me some feedback before I get carried away wth this thing.

Get a die grinder with a carbide cutting blade and............just kiddin'..........like Bud sez, only you don't have to compress the spring.

Push down on the follower and tip it up. It will come right out. ---------

You made a wise choice stewart! Tripp mag's and gut's are the best IMO and changing your stock Kimber mag out with them is the best thing to do for your Kimber for sure if using the stock mag's. I do this with all my kimber mag's and they work 100% of the time.

You know guys,to me it's all in the guts. I have never heard of a Kimber mag not working >> WITH A GUT CHANGE <<. I still have the Kimber mags that came with the weapon(but changed guts to Wilson)and they work just fine.

But I gotta say.........you'd think that Kimber would finally "see the light". Must be a "bean counter" kinda thang.---------
