Night Sights?
Ok I am picking up my G19 this weekend and the first thing that needs taken care of is the sights. There are so many kinds out there it's hard to decide. I like the looks of the Trijicon HD's and I like the look of the TFO's. Are these good NS? Any thoughts of any other brand to look at? I want durable bright long lasting sights. Thanks for any input.

In the same boat as you and looking for some options to outfit my new XDM9C. I am leaning towards the XS BIG DOTS, but hoping this thread will give me some other choices to consider.

Some time I hate when you have so many options.

I use Trij sights on my PPQ, P30, and formerly on my service P226. Great tritium sights. The TFOs are very nice too, but a bit more fragile, and quite a bit larger in real estate.

Four of my five Glocks have Trij's...even put a Trij front site on my SP101.

Another vote for the Trijicons.
Had them on a P226 service pistol and now have them on my G23.

It would be hard to go wrong with either Trijicon or Meprolight. There are a lot of choices now in terms of design and color combinations, but much of it is personal preference.

I have Trij's on both my pistols and recommend them.

Trijicon. The best sight for your G19, period.

Looks like the Triji's have it. Now I have to get my gunsmith to order them and get them installed hopefully by next weekend.

Don't know how old your eyes are, but XS Big Dots are tough to miss when you're in a hurry. And if I'm in harm's way...I'm surely in a hurry!

I have Meprolights on my G21 and like them so much I ordered some for my G19. They are about half the price of the trijicons and are really bright in the dark. Although I cannot compare how they are to the trijicons because I've never had a set of those.

I just got a set of Meprolights that are Adjustable for my G-19. This is the first set that I have found that are fully adjustable with a screwdriver and not a sighting tool. I have had fixed Meps and the Big XS but they did not work for me. The XS are not adjustable. If you are shooting +P+ ammo you need to make that vertical adjustment. Left and right is not an issue, but I do want to be on Center of Mass and not miss just under the Family Jewels!
