If you are in the market for some tactical pants or utility pants, I would suggest these. They have 8 pockets, reinforced where they need to be. They are comfortable and they look pretty good. They are built to last.
They make a version in shorts too!
I bought mine on LApolicegear.com for 50 bux. You get a free TDU belt. They are also running a special for shipping and other free goodies.

I agree, I’ve got 5 pair that I bought for a deployment to Afghanistan (Dept of Army Civilian) they even held up to the local laundry’s questionable practices. Very comfortable, look good, and wear well. I wear the shorts for scout activities and work around my acreage.
I got mine from AAFES on-line, they come from 5.11 direct, they’re cheaper than normal retail, and free shipping. Most of the larger PX’s or clothing sales carry them, unfortunately, ours here doesn’t.

I NEVER thought about carrying a toothbrush, you know, just is case. And the jelly donut test can come in handy at Dunkin' Donuts.

Same here I was a civilian comm tech, got several pair to take over, both the standard weight and the taclite. 2 years in Iraq and 2 years home, worn everyday and they still look great and hardly show any wear. 5.11 seemed to be the "unofficial uniform" of the US contractor in Iraq, also have several of the button front shirts and some polos, everything stood up to Iraq and the Indonesian laundry workers and still going strong.

I have several pair of the Taclite Pro and several of the heavier TDU pants. I prefer the TDUs, but they're both great.

5.11 should give him a pair in every color after that.

That was a nice review. I don't plan on scooting down my driveway on bottom anytime soon but the donut and coffee (even through I don't drink coffee anymore) was perfect since my two year old daughter is always wiping her hands on my wife's and I clothes.
Do these pants run true to size or do they run smaller?

I have several pair, I would say they run true to size.
