    Night sights

I have an xds that I was thinking about getting night sights for. I have read where they have tfo, trijicon, mepro, and others. What are you guys using or should I just keep the stock ones? I am thinking the night sights would be much better for night but also want them to work well in the daytime. I haven't tried to do a search yet but will. I have heard the tfo's are brighter but not as reliable as trijicon. My sig has night sights which aren't real bright but acceptable to me. Thanks

Night sights are the one essential modification I do to my Glocks. The low light benefits that you get in terms of shooting are huge, and they are functional as regular sights for day time use. I have used Mepor's for years and have no complaints what so ever about them.

I have the Mepro's adjustable sights on y G-19 which lets me get point of aim on the money. It is a pain with fixed sights. They are really great.

Trijicon. I'm amazed that they haven't broken from some of the beatings that they've taken.

I put a set of Truglo TFO night sights on my Glock 23 a few months back and absolutely love them. The front is a sharp green with the back dots being a contrasting yellow. At night when I look to my nightstand I see three little dots glowing at me. As good as they are in the dark, they also excel in the daylight. They are incredibly bright with some sunlight hitting them. I enjoy them and while the Glock is really my only pistol right now, I'd definitely look at putting a set of night sights on any future pistols.

My son installed Trijicons on the Glock 21 & 23 I gave him & was pleasantly surprised that Trijicons were on the M&P40 that was issued to him by the Milwaukee PD. When I ordered my M&P40C I had the option of ordering Trijicons for $67 more. No brainer. I've heard good things about Meprolite & AmeriGlo which are considerably cheaper than Trijicon but I've heard the best things about Trijicon. I haven't heard enough about XS Big Dot to form an opinion.

I'm a huge fan of Trijicon HD's. Great for quick front sight acquisition (with the large front sight), good for shooting out at longer distances, and excellent for one handed manipulations. I have a set on my G19 and G23.

My 1911 has Trijicon sights on it, My CZ P-01 and P-06 both have Mepro sights. To be honest I don't see a big difference in the brands.

    Trijicon HD's all the way.

I put the hiviz orange on my XD subcompact and my Sig P226. I'm waiting for them to come in stock for my glock 22 , then I'll be putting them on as soon as the order comes in.

Ok after spending lots of time reviewing I have narrowed it to trijicon hd, meprolight, or xs bigdot. Although I think the bigdot might confuse me with the other guns. From what I have read the tri hd and mepro are close.

I would go Mepro or XS dot. Have used mepro and trijicon, my meprolights are brighter. The XS system really intrigues me, and seems a bit more intuitive for combat/ defensive shooting. Dot the i, pull the trigger.
I think guns are like insurance. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
