You should patent the idea and market it as a "McGyver Holster." Honestly, that's a really good idea. Does it feel pretty solid?

It does feel solid, and the P229 is not a light gun to start with. I slid the paddle over the center of the bottom of the hanger, pulled down while my wife held onto the hook to elongate it, wrapped it with duct tape, and Tah Dah!

The draw is fine. It's a roto-paddle, so I adjusted the cant to a comfortable angle, and then slid it to the position on the bed that I wanted.

Here is one to think about: Tiger Holster Systems It looks easy enough to make if you have a piece of flat aluminum and some hand tools. I bought one a while back and couldn't be happier. The gun is instantly ready! I feel even more safe AND prepared for that middle of the night noise .... This is a good idea.

The key is the duck tape. I use a box spring shotgun rack.

We got more damn smart people on here. I learn something every week. A patent attorney could clean up with the ideas members here have. It is VERY refreshing not to see every other post start with "LEARN ME ABOUT" that is S00000000000000 common on Gl%#k Talk.
