Wilson ETM's, particularly the new HD/+P version with the square springs, are probably the best mag on the market currently.

I have a few of the new Wilson ETM'S, I like them. A local gunsmith claims the mags with the flat followers are not as reliable.
    Is he correct??? IDK.

As for the magazines, they are both quality and should serve you well.

I have the CMC Power mags, solved my feeding issues. From what I have read, you cannot go wrong with either.

I tried both and found the Wilson 47d worked fine while the shooting star mags would induce failures. I am shooting a Springfield Champion FYI. What ever you choose , test the crap out of it before trusting it. I just read Of Wilson ETM mags having problems with sticking followers.

I've run both, and while I've not had issues that I can directly say were caused by one or the other--I prefer Wilson.

Another CMC Power Mag "fan" - they work very well in my 1911's (including the 10 round Power Mags) YMMV

I've used the Wilson ETM and 47D as well as the McCormick Shooting Star mags in two Springers and a Kimber. The Springers and the McCormicks do not get along reliably. I've used the Wilsons for 3 years of club-level competition now, and other than normal replacement of springs and followers due to hard use, they have never let me down.

Coke goes better with bourbon than Pepsi does.
Chevy rides nicer but Ford works harder.

I've had Wilsons not run a 1911 well, in fact no mag ran this one 1911 well. Was informed about Tripp Research mags, called him and bought two to try. They ran that problem 1911 perfectly.

Same here with my New Agent, and they run like a dream in my Mil-spec as well. Plus they're not super expensive, and if you ask nicely you can get them in black. :)
