    Concealing Speed Loaders

Would anyone be able to tell me the best way to conceal two 6-round speed loaders, where they wouldn’t easily print?

My .357 snub is very easily concealed, carried in an IWB soft holster, but I want to be able to carry at least 12 extra rounds for backup if necessary. Presently, I’m using a drop-down folder, that holds 12, but they can only be loaded individually, which is really pretty slow at best.

I have experience with speed loaders, but have never before tried to carry them concealed, always on an open belt….which a pretty good indication that you might have a pistol on your person.

    Thanks, FLc

I shoot a 5 shot J frame so I cut the last hole off a 6 round strip and it is a PERFECT fit in a watch pocket of jeans.

Same here. I picked up 5 round strips though for my J frame. I load 4 on the strip, makes it fast 2 and 2.

I also have an HKS speed loader, but I think that's the OP's problem...sucks having another bulge in your pants. LOL

Two possibilities. First, I have seen carriers that sit over the belt, not outside of it, with the cartridges against the belt. For a six shooter you have three rounds inside the belt. For a five shooter its either three or two inside, and the rest outside.

Second option, but not as fast as all at once. Would you consider a speed strip? Six rounds in line, and you load two at a time. I found a knife case that says "Case" on the side. (Case knife company.) It holds two strips for twelve rounds.

If you need more than five rounds, you are probably dead, anyway. Sorry, I just couldn't resist... We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

You don't need to conceal them, you just need to carry in case that is easy to get to (on your belt?) but looks like the case for a pair of glasses or a cell phone. Take the empty speed loaders to a camera shop and fit them then order that item off Amazon (for example).

A split six speed loaded holder. They allow the speedloader to straddle your belt making a much smaller profile. It is what I use when I carry a 6 shooter.

When I carry the snubs, I usually have one speedloader and one speed strip in a pocket. Looks no bigger than my keyring in the pocket.

I use one of these for my j-frame. Similar to the safariland one but works more readily with jks/5star speedloaders
