    nikon p-22 rimfire scope

I am in the midst of a 22lr rimfire project .A 10/22 with tactical solutions threaded barrel and overmolded rubber stock.I think I have settled on the Nikon p-22 with the BDC reticle, it has solid features ,good reviews and a good price.I wanted to ply the experience of the forum before I make the final commit. So does anybody have experience with this optic ?

Great scope. I have 7 of them on various .22's

Its clear and its bright and for the money its probably the best bang for the buck.

Well, I don't have it sitting in my lap right now, so I can't swear I have the exact same model, but I do have a Nikon variable scope, with BDC, designated for .22. Very good scope. I have different model on another rifle - Nikon makes good stuff. I will say that the Nikon scope on my 10/22 did come out of zero after use, but it was due to the mounts, not the scope. Whatever you do, get good mounts and rings. Good luck!

I'm not a fan of BDC reticles, deferring to clear and bright optics above all else. With a bunch of 10/22 and other rimfire builds I've gone from DC to daylight with scope quality, and in general I'm done with the cheapie Chinese optics. So many folks compromise the 10/22 platform with scope magnification over 10x and objectives over 40... then proceed to shoot cheap ammo. The P-22 sounds like a winner, with all the magnification you need for practical purposes. I say go for it!

I don't have the P22 BDC but I do run a couple Nikon ProStaff scopes an .22lr bolt guns and they are spectacular for the $. Very clear and crisp and have proven to be very durable.

I have always had good results with Nikon scopes! IMHO they are better than some other brands that are far more expensive! So, yes you have made a very good decision!

    Nikon P-22 scope.

I run the P-Series scopes on my M&P 15/22's. I decided on my 10/22 I wanted more magnification and opted for Nikon's PROSTAFF 3-9 Rimfire BDC 150 scope. The BDC reticle is accurate enough for me to plink steel crows at 200 yards. Clarity and light gathering is excellent int his scope as well.

Definitely worth taking a look at.

Man, that's a nice looking and sounding scope. I might buy one and I don't even have the gun I'll be putting it on yet.
I wonder if Optics Planet is still doing their free shipping plus 10% off sale...

    Thanks a lot, lol.

BTW, guys I forgot to mention that Natchez Shooters Supplies has the Nikon Pro-Staff 3x9x40 BDC (refurbished) on sale for $119.95. This is a smokin deal!

My friend has the P22 on his 10/22. It's an awesome little scope. The BDC is dead on! I will be buying one when I decide to break down and buy another scope for my 10/22.
