I read a lot of you guys that carry an extending baton or other impact tool. Does anyone know if it is legal for me to carry something like this in PA? I really should get something that is "less than lethal".

Don't know 'bout carry in PA but if I could just interject.......check your laws(local also) very carefully. Down here in Florida they are treated as a firearm. W/O a CWP you go directly to jail.
If you do decide to carry one,buy the ASP brand and definately get some training.
I have been training with one for several months now and I'm thinking seriously about leaving my blade at home.
For the completely unarmed big ol' brusier that wants to grab you or your loved ones,it's just the thing. Even after your on the ground, unextended, it's devistating.
ASP makes three different sizes. I use,and reccommend the 26".--------
I should know for sure but in fact have always considered these no-no's. Only a few states where ''concealed carry weapon'' is allowed seem able to get away with it.
QK Shooter may be able to add his 2c here but thus far I regard these as not lawful to carry.
(revised)
My personal opinion is that you cannot.
It seems to be an issue that is "up in the air" in some folks minds but, I probably would not risk it.
