I don't comparison shop much, but I can tell you that I have never seen any retail price that was higher than the 5.11 web site.

Buy from Botach and you may never see your pants or the money back. $39.00 is very reasonable. I recommend calling www.wgtatical.com or L.A. Police Gear.

    Helpful Hint:

Watch Out for Pants Called 5.11 Style Pants 'cause of course they are NOT 5.11 pants.
They were real cheap at 19.00 ~ so I bought a pair...just for the heckovit to see how good they were & they were Not So Good.
I would not suggest buying them...not even close to genuine 5.11.

Thanks OKShooter, I was going to make the same point. On eBay there are cheap knockoffs called GPS WEAR Tactical Pants and others. Make sure if you buy it off eBay that the photo shows the mark 5.11 Tactical or Woolrich. Those two brands are the best ones out there.

I have found them from between 25 to 50 bucks would be normal.

As far as Botach I have heard more complaints about them then positive comments from others in the LEO community. They are VERY spotty on their orders and often times do not even have the item in stock but will not tell you this and waits of up to three months on common items have been mentioned.

Galls, Ranger Joes, Shomertec, and US Cav typically have them in stock but are more expensice. REI is where I buy mine new and they typically are about 35 bucks for cotton pants (MSRP IS 49.99).

LAPOLICEGEAR.com has 5.11 pants on sale occasionally. Check their site & get on the mailing list. They'll let you know when things go on sale. I picked up two pair of the Desert Camo 5.11s for $20. They're great for yard work & knock around pants.

I agree about the knockoffs. If you get the real McCoy they will last a long time as they are very well made.

Botac(I have ordered from them 10 times with no problems but I know others have)had the digital desert 5.11 pants for $9.99.

I bought four pair and they are great for trips to the range or walking in the woods.
I wondered about the $20.00 knock offs on Ebay also.

I've bought good knock-offs at Sam's Club and Costco for $20 or less. They don't pretend to look like 5.11 but are basically BDU knock-offs of good quality for the money.

LenS if you havent worn 5.11s Tactical pants, you really dont know comfort. I've worn bdu type pants for years, but 5.11 remove all the bad and add alot of good. Bdu pants are very comfortable, but its like slipping from a Towncar into a BMW 760 series luxury car. They aint even in the same class (and I only drive Dodge and H&D).

I ordered two pair off Ebay from a seller"teamsports" he had over 10000 transactions and a great rating so I took a chance.
They arrived today with all the 5.11 tags and markings. They come unhemmed but my wife can handle that for me.

They ended up being $28.46 per pair delivered so that was a pretty good price. They are normally $39.95 plus shipping and rarely on sale that I have seen.

Purchased 3 pairs about a few years back to the tune of 32 bucks per pair + shipping from Botach. got one of the colors wrong. correct size though. I recently bought a bunch of stuff from lapolicegear. great source of all kinds of gear with good service.
