Ok we've all said or read post about the wonderfully comfortable 5.11 Tactical Pants....this is not another one of those.
Simple story. Was issued two pair of 5.11s and they were the wrong size. Agency said it was my problem. I emailed 5.11 and they said "send them to us". So I did. Shortly the UPS man delievered me my two pair of 5.11s in the correct size....thus one happy fed (thank you for your tax donations by the way). Suprise, two days later, the UPS man delievers to me another two pair of 5.11s in the correct size too. Oops 5.11 made a mistake.
Ya I know, could'a kept them...but I emailed 5.11 (something about intergrity). Another suprise.........

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."
Thats Pretty Cool of them
Very cool. I love em too. Dressy enough for work, yet very comfortable. sounds like 5.11 has their customer service act together.

I've had similar experience from Ms. Martinez at 5.11. I had picked up an ankle cred holder that blew out stitching after about a week. I sent a simple email, and several days later recieved a new one via UPS priority. The box also contained some gratis promo goodies. (unrequested, but a nice surprise).
They support their products.
Are there any advantages to ordering directly as opposed to from LA Police Gear? LAPG has "no shipping" specials and things like that off and on, and have given me good service...

Good for you for having a conscious.
And kudos to 5.11 for the extra pairs of pants for your trouble.
Friendship... is not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.
Not to take anything away from the good customer service you got but it would probably be more of an expense/hassle for them to get the pants back and restock them than to just take the loss and let you keep them.
Way cool. I've started wearing their pants and love them. Also bought a couple of the polos and 1 pair of the shorts. Lots better than blue jeans.
They are a heck of a good company.
And they sure do make some high quality and very comfy clothes. Worth every penny they charge for them. Unless you are a Fed Wif a Sig and you get yours for free. Lucky Bum.
