Thanks to all the posting. My evolution on the new LED technology has been up-dated.
Originally I was going to wait for the surefire L5 LumaMax® for $189 at 100 lumens. But I'm too poor for that.
Then I read an earlier post here for the Essential gear Luxeon V for $125 at 120 lumen's. That was better but still too salty for me.
Then came this thread with the Fenix L2D CE for $55 for 135 lumen's (120 actual) and 6 brightness settings. OK I'm hooked now. I've ordered this one. If you are having cut out problems with this one you need to clean the threads with alcohol and re-lube with silicon grease.
But I went to candlepowerforums.com and saw this U2-Style 3W CREE 1x18650 Flashlight.

$25 180-200 lumen's but runs on 1x18650 rechargeable battery but the reviews had some problems with the heat sinking and tail cap switch, so I will wait and watch on this one.
Also there is a better drop in for mag-lights 2.5w Cree MaxStar5 The TLE-6EX produces 100 to 135 Lumen's of light! and is $26. Now I'm sorry for buying the magLED drop in.

All I need now is a drop in Cree for my surefire G2Z. The current drop in dose not fit this model.
