Is my speedloader broke or am I just dumb?
Picked up a snubby a little while ago and also picked up an HKS speedloader. It's a 5 round model 36 which I was told would work for my Taurus 850. When I got home I was eager to try the little device and see how it worked since I was told many time "HKS is the only way to go!" I loaded up the speed loader, held my snubby tilted toward the ground with the cylinder open in my left hand, lined up and inserted the rounds into the cylinder(at this point I was prety impressed at how easy this was), finaly I twisted the release and... one round slid into the cylinder and the rest stayed in the speed loader and I couldn't pull the speedloader away from the weapon... it was stuck!! After much giggling a shaking I managed to get the speedloader free. Thinking I had done something wrong or that the laoder may be malfunctioning I took and loaded the loader back up, held it over a soft surface and twisted the release... all the rounds quickly dropped free. The loader seemed to be working just fine. Time for round two: the same thing happened. This was not very confidence inspiring and quite disappointing that it would be faster to load with my free hand. Someone please help! Do I have the wrong model loader? Am I doing somthing wrong? Do these things take time to "break in"? Please advise.
