Last nite I had a blast at the range on our Tactical Rifle night (I am not that good... hell they keep me around for the laughs mostly ) but I ended up busted up because it is a LOT of gear you get to lug around and I am not getting any younger.
I have been considering in building/modifying some sort of cart so I can carry all the crap around but me being me and having a wife that can give you change in pennies when she squeezes a quarter, I have to do in in the cheap. Most of the carts I have seen are either too expensive or too big. But I found one at a good price that I think I can modify to what I want.
Ball bearing wheels have 3 1/2in.W x 10in.H pneumatic tires, so it rolls like an ATV over soft soil and rugged terrain. Strong steel tray is 3 3/4in. deep. Removable WOODEN SIDES are 10 1/2in.H. BIG FOOT is 33 1/2in.L x 15 1/2in.W, so it's tough to tip. Some assembly required.
Price $39.99 and holds up to Lbs 250.
If you guys have any ideas on what items or modifications can be made, I'd appreciate your input. This shall be my next project!
Awww, Miggy's getting a little red wagon, HOW CUTE!!!!
That's actually a pretty nice cart, how you going to get it in the car when it's loaded?
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a tool box on wheels. It'll probably hold what you need it to, and not be so cumbersome getting it in and out of a vehicle.
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

Seriously - a cart has to be a great idea as long as transportable and also that you don't have to negotiate steps. My back just HATES it when I go the range laden with stuff, altho one range when clear of folks does enable me to park truck right up close to firing point ... so close I have to make sure it doesn't get peppered by empty shells from semi's!
I might even consider this myself in fact.

Be careful what else you might find in one of those if you aren't careful where you park it. I went out for a stroll, and look what I found in mine.
4myson, that is just too cute!
And to the rest of the jokers, I should have known better!
But I am very much with the comments.

OK, so I proudly show my wife the purchase I made and her first words out when I asked her about what modifications could be made was reccomending a set like this:
-Diplomacy: The art of saying nice dogie until you can find a rock.
-The truth is a three edged sword.
-Your brain is your primary weapon everything else is just a tool.
-When the only tool you have is a hammer then everything starts to look like a nail.
