F. O. P. Show - Louisville
Sunday Sunday Sunday...
Today is the first day of the FOP Show hosted by the Louisville FOP. We set up yesterday, and I've already glimpsed some really cool stuff to check out when I'm not manning the booth.
I love expos. Everything about 'em. Some of my coworkers hate them, but then, I'm a bit of an extrovert and thrive on making new contacts and friends on a 'walk-up' basis.
We've got lots of new gear to show off, specifically the prototype for our new AR-15, AK47 and Mini14 stocks, so I'm pretty sure we'll be hopping by ten. I'll be sure to give a report.
To lend the relevance that our little forum requires, I thought I'd mention that this is one time I don't mind NOT carrying (we're not allowed to when representing our company in public...I don't think there is any rule about actually carrying in the convention center or at a show like this). Sigfried (yes...I've named my SAS 229) will have to sit this one out, but in a convention hall packed with 10,000 of the nation's finest, I feel safer than if I were carrying!
Details forthcoming on
1.) the coolest new gadget I can find
2.) the dumbest question I get asked over the course of three days
3.) how I feel about not having my weapon on me during the expo.
Shoot straight and stay safe!

Thanks, P95! I thought I'd reached the dregs when I posted, so it is nice that SOMEONE cared!
Dumbest question I was asked was by a member of Georgia State Partrol, and it had NOTHING to do with guns! I was talking to a member of Georgia's finest, and I shared with him that I'd grown up in New Mexico. He asked me if I had a hard time getting through immigration! How is it that a Trooper doesn't know that NM is in the US??!!!
