CT emits a steady beam, LaserMax pulses. I find the pulse annoying. Besides I use a revolver.

I should have made myself more clear. I am refering to using them on J frames. Thay both make laser grips fpr J frames.

Ahh, I didn't know LaserMax made a light for the J Frame.

The only negative I have with CT grips is the clearance getting a speedloader past the grip, although I prefer using speedstrips.

I've got a CT on my Glock M27 and I like it, especially the fact that once zeroed, it holds the zero. As somebody else mentioned, the LaserMax has a pulse and I also don't like that. The down side of any laser device is that any type of particulate matter in the air from gunsmoke to a light rain and the beam is visible and it draws a nice straight line right to point of origin.

My better half has the 5 shot black .38 S&W 442.

Picked up the Lasermax grips. Horrible!

#1. You had to hunt to find the button, which required messing with your grip and taking your eyes off of the target. =automatic disqualification

#2. The grips, properly installed and aligned, bit her hand (and mine) so hard that it drew blood and left a nasty gash.

I like Lasermax products, but this one is a loser.

Crimson trace, comes on when your hand grips the gun.

And no biting, only way to go!

I knew that LaserMax had a J-frame model but, I don't think I've heard too much positive or negative about them. They are less expensive.

Crimson Trace is worth the extra bucks. Very pleased with mine.
