I use Bright Sights and I'm very satisfied with the results.

I re-painted the white dot sights on my Colt Commander and BHP, green for the rear, orange for the front.

Don't use the brush that comes with the kit. It's worthless. Use the wide end of a flat toothpick to apply the paint.

Any reason why this is better than testor's model paint?

More than paint itself, brightsights is a liquid plastic. It retains the color for a long time and it is easy to remove if you want to change colors. For those who cannot afford tritiun sights, the glow in the dark series are just perfect requiring only a quick "recharge" from any light source if the gun was kept in the dark for a long time.

+1 about the toothpic as paint tool.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.
