The only difference was the G2 had a white light and the LED had a blue light. I would give the LED a slight edge, in that everything appeared a little sharper than with the G2.

I am still glad that I made the purchase. The LED has a 12 hour run time on one pair of batteries. The LED will ride on my duty belt and the G2 will be my bedside light as it will get less use there and less battery changes.
Let's not forget that the LED lights have far greater durability and lifespan. That aspect is a major part of why I choose LED flashlights (even though my applications are not dire, like police work, etc.).

Botach Tacticle has lithium 3 volt 123A batteries on sale right now for 69 cents each. (You have to buy 50) I just ordered some.

I have a few Incan lights but for the most part I will only get LED. The exception is lights like the Borealis. LED's just can't get that bright yet.

Thanks for the info on the LED's. I'm thinking about adding one to my Surefires.

I just got a 6PL and the LED is amazing compared to my non-LED G2 and Z2. I'm sold on the throw and the increased battery life as well!
