Leather Belt from 5.11
I recently purchased a 5.11 leather belt to support my 1911 in an IWB holster.
I didn't compare it to the more expensive belts, but at $29.98, it really does the job. It's 1 1/2" wide, 1/4" thick with a stiffing insert and my wife says it looks good.
The belt has been a big improvement over a standard jeans belt. Has anyone worn one of these for any length of time? I am curious to know how they last.

I looked real hard at those. I've currently got a belt that I got from HBE leather works quite some time ago. I wear it every day and I do mean EVERY DAY. I have it for......almost.......3 years now and its just as good as it was when new. Still I would like a bit a variety. I was planning on getting a pair of thier Covert Khakis and a belt. Now reading your post makes me want to even more. :)

i just ordered one and it came in two days ago.
i showed it to my parent and some friends and they thought it was just a Very nice looking belt.
I noticed how stiff it was. The reinforcement is very noticable when holding it and trying to bend it any other direction than around you
i can almost hold it straight out with out it flexing.
seems to be made very well.
I purchased it at LA Police Gear, very fast service.
feels well on my body
I just ordered a Versa Max 2 holster today for my Full sized 1911.
i will start a new thread on both to let people know how they are.
so far the belt is amazing.
much stiffer than most leather shop belts (not counting Custom Gun Belt shops).
its 1.5" but the thickness is around the same size as a normal belt.
so far i am very impressed

I was looking at one of those a while back. They look very nice. I am curious as to how well they hold up as well.

Wilderness belts are the most comfortable in my book, but I don't tuck my shirt in. If you tuck, I guess you may need a dressier belt.
