Christmas Gift Idea: First Aid Kit

This kit from Sportsman's Guide has been mentioned on this board before, but I thought somebody might profit from me mentioning it again. I just bought two for Christmas presents for my adult kids (one is a contruction worker, the other has a wife and toddler), and I got one for my own work truck as well.

Some comments here at DC were from guys with medical training who said the kit was very good and surprisingly low-priced ($20). So if you needed an idea for Christmas, here it is. (Of course, there are many others on the market, or you could make your own.)

Now I'm on the lookout for the right book to go with it so I can learn what all those doodads are good for.
I went to buy some camouflage pants, but I couldn't find any.

I bought this kit for my wife to keep in her vehicle and I was very impressed. It has a wide range of gear for a very affordable price. I'm strongly thinking of getting more for the house and my vehicle. A great value.

Great idea...but we bought our own carrier and filled it with all the first aid products designed for us...saved some money on the basic stuff, and the extra's made it beneficial for doing a 'self-designed' kit.

I currently use a kit that I made myself, but after seeing everything that is in this kit I might get one anyway. It has med items, but also stuff like emergency blanket, light sticks, and many other survival items. It is a very good buy.

A good intermediate first aid kit is a great idea. I have one similar for each of my cars/truck.

Have done this previously, though it wasn't greatly appreciated. Great idea, IMO. It's a gift from the heart that can literally save a life, if a well-stocked and -maintained kit.

Yep, that seems to be a very nice kit!

It can take a fair amount of time, research and expense trying to piece together a custom kit, which is what I usually do, but I have access to several EMS suppliers and for what the kit from Sportsman's guide has, it is a very versitile kit!

And no way you can beat the price elsewhere!

A great buy and a great find!
